James Blunt INEC

James Blunt

If you’re in Killarney next week and are angling for a bit of mid-noughties pop-rock then James Blunt at the INEC could be just the ticket for you. He’ll be winging his way into Killarney on Thursday the 27th February. We all remember him, don’t we? Back around 2005 even the dogs in the street could hum along to his teary tune You’re Beautiful it was that ubiquitous.

The album on which that song was featured, Back to Bedlam, was the best-selling album of the decade in the UK and has sold over 3m copies there and 11m copies worldwide since its release in 2004. He’s been off the radar a tad in the last few years but he has managed to quietly release three albums since Back to Bedlam which have received very warm critical acclaim and some impressive commercial success. His latest offering, Moon Landing, managed to hit the top 10 in 13 different countries and narrowly missed out on the No. 1 spot in the UK. The album is more stripped down and acoustic than his previous records so it should be very conducive to live performances.

So if you’re an uber-James Blunt fan or just pining for some soft, soothing acoustic rock next Thursday then this could be for you. Tickets are €39 and you can buy them in the INEC box office. For more information or telephone numbers click here.
